The future of UK farm animal veterinary practice in a changing business climate
Major changes are occurring in the UK farm animal veterinary sector in response to an evolving business landscape. In particular, concerns have been raised about insufficient numbers of veterinary graduates entering farm animal practice, leading to a shortfall in service provision for farmers and government and potentially compromising animal health, welfare and food safety. The study aimed to provide an evidence base for strategy development to ensure that the UK veterinary profession is able to provide sustainable production animal health services.
