Estimating the costs and benefits of adapting agriculture to climate change
MetadataShow full item record
A changing climate will impact on agriculture and the natural environment. Whether the impacts are manageable or not depends in part on the preparedness of the sector to adapt. Anticipatory adaptation can reduce the negative impacts of climate change, take advantage of opportunities, and seek to maintain food and fibre production and the health of ecosystems. This article presents some estimates of the economic efficiency of selected adaptations through a cost–benefit analysis (CBA).
